where i'm from
An only child of immigrants who did not speak English growing up. Friendship and community became the thing I cared about most, and later the whole thesis of what I build.
2011
Graduated from UCLA. Spent ten years as a Los Angeles open-water lifeguard, and every summer taught inner-city kids to surf, snorkel, and kayak through the CLASS PARKS program.
2013
Became one of the first SoulCycle instructors. Over nine years across NYC and London I taught thousands of classes and helped grow the company from 9 studios to 99.
2014
Took a few friends to Costa Rica to surf, do yoga, and share some beers. Everyone wanted to do it again. That trip became SurfYogaBeer, the group vacation I could not find anywhere else.
2019
Head Instructor for SoulCycle's first international studio, launching the entire London market from scratch.
2020 to 2021
When the world shut down, my now-wife Steph and I built a live online fitness community that pulled 250+ people into regular classes from their living rooms, keeping a scattered community moving and connected.
2023
Moved to Mexico City and created the BICI cycling program at Commando, a boutique fitness studio company. Opened nine boutique cycling studios and trained the trainers to run them.
2024
Flew to the
Masai Mara, Kenya and proposed to
Steph by having her "arrested" on safari by the park rangers, handcuffs and all. She said yes.
Watch the reel.
